Alabama Technology Network - Gadsden

ATN-G is housed on the campus of Gadsden State and is a cooperative partnership of business, government, and education. It is the source for advanced technical assistance and training for local companies and is an affiliate of the U.S. Manufacturing Extension Partnership.

All staff members have relevant experience in manufacturing, as well as strong academic credentials. They have responsibility for working with companies to design and implement customized training and applied engineering. The Center uses its own resources or those of service providers from its nation-wide support network. Its structure allows it to focus solely on getting the best help to its clients with minimum cost and delay.

Examples of partnership activities include on-going continuous improvement projects; ISO, QS and TS registration project implementation; Lean Manufacturing; measurement systems; work cell integration; continuous flow development; computer integrated machining; automation; and Leadership and Management Development.

Available facilities include computer and electronic labs, flexible classrooms, flexible manufacturing space, and media-ready conferencing in 100- and 20-seat space.

Available training formats include apprenticeships, custom-designed courses/classes, vendor demonstrations, and workshops, and seminars.

Available consulting formats include assessments, engineering studies, process improvement, and product development.

Specialties include automated control, CAD/CAM, CNC machining, electronic networking, industrial engineering, Lean manufacturing, Lean Sigma, quality system engineering and implementation, small-parts prototyping, and a broad spectrum of leadership and supervisory development and strategic planning.
