The Narmco Group, a leading global supplier of automotive stampings, assemblies, roll formed products and tools and dies that has a facility in Gadsden, was named by General Motors as a “Supplier of the Year.”
“We are very proud to be recognized with the prestigious award from General Motors,” said Donald Rodzik, president and chief executive officer.
“All of us at Narmco have customer satisfaction and support as one of our core business focuses, and having our team efforts recognized by General Motors as a Supplier of the Year is an outstanding achievement.”
“I want to congratulate all Narmco team members for their continued support, and especially those working directly with the General Motors team.”
The GM Supplier of the Year award began as a global program in 1992.
Winners are selected by a global team of purchasing, engineering, quality, manufacturing and logistics executives who base their decisions on supplier performance in innovative technology, superior quality, outstanding launch support, crisis management and competitive total enterprise cost solutions.
This year General Motors honored 82 suppliers, from thousands that serve GM globally, for their outstanding performance in 2011.
“The Supplier of the Year award winner’s partnership, dedication and commitment to consistently perform above expectations played an important role in GM’s success in 2011,” said Bob Socia, vice president, global purchasing and supply chain. “In 2012, we will continue to improve supplier relations to achieve a world class supply chain focused on quality, capacity management and total cost.”
