The global management consulting firm Arthur D. Little, Inc. selected our existing industry assistance program as one of the best development projects in the nation.

An economic research report from the University of Alabama at Huntsville concluded that Gadsden was the “leading turnaround area” in the state since the mid-1980s.

Industrial progress can not happen without a cohesive public/private partnership and a cooperative team effort. To cite just one example, all of the following were involved with the IDA in recruiting The NARMCO Group’s Prince Metal Stampings plant to the Gadsden Airport Industrial Park. Subsequently, NARMCO’s favorable experience in Gadsden resulted in their decision to invest $25 million and build a second plant, and then to purchase a 240,000-square-foot building for a third plant here.
